Montage's maintenance free E-Coat finish uses a similar process that the automotive industry uses on car finishes and carries a 20 year warranty. Montage's welding process combines fusion and laser technology to weld rigid, yet virtually invisible structural connections with no unsightly exposed fastners. Montage is great for slopes and can follow grades up to 30" rise in a 8' run without gaps.
Before Montage, ornamental metal fences offered only compromises. The strength of steel welded with welded construction meant increased maintenance: the beauty of wrought iron meant significantly higher costs: the capability to follow sloping terrain meant the higher cost of custom fabrication. Conversely, to provide freedom from maintenance, the use of ultra-light materials such as aluminum and plastic raised the cost and totally sacrificed the strength of a welded steel fence.
